Unpacking South Africa’s NEET’s crisis

Speaking to SA FM’s Stephen Grootes, CDE’s Ann Bernstein discussed key issues facing young people not in employment, education or training and recommendations to change this crisis. She argued, “Unless we have a growing economy, South Africa can never turn this catastrophic situation around.” She further touched on labour intensive growth, education and skills training programmes, and reforming labour laws.
