Ann Bernstein, executive director for the Centre for Development and Enterprise, spoke on eNCA’s Today show about the need for a job-rich growth plan in South Africa. Bernstein critiqued the jobs plan in the governing party’s manifesto, equating the mainly temporary 3.5 million work opportunities to 300 000 full time jobs over five years. She said, “There is no sense of urgency. There is no sense that this is catastrophic for millions and millions of people and their families”.
