CDE’s executive director, Ann Bernstein, spoke to eNCA’s Dan Moyane about the importance of reforming and professionalising the country’s civil service. She says, “It is really important to identify mission critical jobs at the top of government departments and institutions, and then to develop mechanisms to make sure these are the right people to serve South Africa.”  This interview follows the release of CDE’s AGENDA 2024 report titled ACTION TWO: Appoint the right people in mission critical jobs.
