A basic income grant would slow economic growth

CDE’s Ann Bernstein spoke to Thulasizwe Simelane of eNCA about how a basic income grant would negatively affect economic growth in South Africa. She said, “We don’t see where Government can get the money from, what we are saying is let us get growth going first and then one can look at perhaps start helping more.”
