Unemployment crisis of young people in SA

Speaking to Radio Islam International’s Annissa Essack, CDE’s research director Stefan Schirmer shared insights on the 9.1 million unemployed people between the ages of 15 -34 years in South Africa. He said, “What we say at the Centre for Development and Enterprise is the best employment projects are firms, the best route of getting out of unemployment and poverty is to get people into private sector jobs where they learn skills on the job.”
