CDE’s Ann Bernstein spoke to Cape Talk’s John Maytham about the benefits of densification in South African cities. Ann said that South Africa has a massive housing challenge and that there’s a big opportunity in urban residential areas where there is enormous capacity to densify. “Metros need more capacity to manage densification, we need to facilitate quality development to take place at an appropriate level of affordability,” she added.
