Statistics South Africa released data that South Africa’s GDP has shrunk by 7% in 2020. Speaking to Bongani Bingwa on Radio 702, Ann Bernstein says “South Africa’s economy is in desperate trouble and we were in trouble before Covid. We are sitting with very little growth. We need to get much higher economic growth if we are going to turn our crises around and deal with our fiscal crisis.”
