Localisation is a misguided policy
Speaking to China Global Television Network’s Beatrice Marshall, Ann Bernstein said, “Localisation will raise costs, reduce competitiveness and domestic competition. It is an anti-export strategy and the wrong priority for South Africa.” She also touched on several key issues; fixing labour market regulations and, the education and skills system.
