CDE working remotely during lockdown
The Centre for Development and Enterprise (CDE) fully supports the national effort to limit the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
As a consequence CDE will implement a 100% move to virtual work from Friday 27 March 2020. Our online office hours will be from 08:00 till 16:30 Monday to Friday.
In order to protect our staff and the many individuals and organisations with whom we interact we have implemented the following steps:
- All public events and face to face meetings have been postponed till after the lockdown.
- Some workshops and smaller events will take place through zoom and other media platforms.
Despite these restrictions, CDE’s publication programme will continue and we aim to publish a number of important reports over the next few months.
CDE’s approach involves considerable engagement with and listening to experts and key interests on critical national issues. We are also committed to take our findings and recommendations ‘off the shelves’ and into the most influential policy circles. We are exploring different ways of doing all of this virtually.
As overwhelming as the immediate crises are, South Africa’s other challenges are not going away. CDE will do all we can to be a part of the national effort to deal with the coronavirus whilst at the same time continuing to deliver on our mission to promote the reforms required to achieve faster and more inclusive growth.
CDE remains hard at work. We can be contacted through all the usual channels:
