Speaking on Power FM’s Power Breakfast, CDE executive director Ann Bernstein has called on President Ramaphosa to urgently appoint a retired judge to conduct an enquiry into the National Prosecuting Authority and its leadership, performance structure and independence. She says, “there is a lot of disappointment that the major criminals who have brought South Africa to a sorry state are not on trial and have not been successfully prosecuted”. This interview comes after the release of CDE’s new Agenda2024 report, ACTION FIVE: Energise the NPA.
