Montek Singh Ahluwalia has been described as “a brilliant reformer that helped change India for the better in ways few can rival”. An Oxford trained economist and civil servant, he created the blueprint for Indian economic reform, and as Deputy Chairman of the Indian Planning Commission between 2004 to 2014 he oversaw India’s shift to a high-growth economy.
