Anthony Williams – Rebuilding cities: reflections on my experiences

  • Anthony Williams took over as Mayor of Washington in 1999, at a time when the city was in serious decline, facing bankruptcy and with a reputation as crime ridden and dangerous.
  • Through sound financial management, strong leadership and by working closely with local business leaders he turned the city around in his two terms at the helm.
