In a discussion with SA FM’s Cathy Mohlahlana, CDE’s Ann Bernstein reflected on the 2021 State of the Nation Address by President Cyril Ramaphosa. She touched on various issues including opportunities for small businesses, the growing focus on localisation and the ongoing lack of accountability. “This entire focus on localisation is going to undermine the ease of doing business which contradicts what the President said last night. It will add to procurement and other delays and red tape for infrastructure and every sector of our economy,” she added.
