AGENDA 2024: Priorities for South Africa’s New Government

Over the past six months, the Centre for Development and Enterprise (CDE) has been working with a team of experts, business leaders, former public servants and academics trying to answer what is by far the most important question facing South Africa: what can a new government do to get the country back on track after 15 years of stagnation and decline?

Reuel Khoza, business leader, gave opening remarks on the importance of leadership.

Ann Bernstein, CDE’s executive director, spoke about the bold choices South Africa requires now and put forward the key actions that need to be taken in the first 180 days of the new government.
