CDE’s Ann Bernstein spoke to Kaya Fm’s Khaya Sithole about the jobs crisis in South Africa due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the President’s economic recovery plan. “The job situation in South Africa is absolutely catastrophic and is probably the deepest in the world; even before Covid. The country needs to take this issue much more seriously than we do. We talk about projects but we never really deal with the actual issues as to why South Africa has such a high unemployment rate,” she said.
