On eNCA’s Today show, CDE’s executive director, Ann Bernstein called for a reduction in the size of the Cabinet and competent government leadership. Bernstein urged the new President to appoint people with talent and expertise, especially for those in economic ministries, saying that “at the heart of everything is faster, job-rich economic growth. There is an opening for someone with expertise and who understands the potential of South Africa.”  The interview follows the release of CDE’s report, ACTION TWO: Appoint the right people in mission critical public sector jobs.
